Our holiday clubs are run to enable every child the opportunity to play sport in the school holidays

Our holiday clubs

Holiday clubs have been integral to Kick Off Stroud since our conception in 2012. We have been running clubs throughout the District and thousands of children have joined us over the school holidays to participate in sports and games.

When Covid hit in 2020 all our work had to stop, however as soon as government restrictions allowed us to we restarted our sports clubs in a socially distanced manner. We felt that children were at risk during the lockdowns of being isolated from their friends within limited means to contact them and a distinct lack of physical activity and exercise. Our sports clubs allowed children the chance to interact with other children and participate in physical activity in a safe way.

Since then our holiday clubs have fully come back and we run them each school holiday.

We want to ensure every child has access to our holiday clubs and the cost is not a barrier, we therefore offer free places to our clubs for families who need them. On average 10% of our spaces are given away free of charge.

It has been so great to have our boys back playing sport with their friends. We weren’t sure if sports could be fun whilst socially distancing but they have loved every minute
